My daughter lost her hearing for the first 2 years of his life, and because the speech. Seems to be catching up right at home, but when it gets to class, she becomes distant and does not say how much. The school has written her IEP, and now is trying to send her to a special education school. The choice is ultimately up to me, but they are strongly recommended it. I wonder if the special ed class would slow down its development, or help her progress.

I know that the parent who wants to speech therapy for her daughter, but the Chicago Public Schools is able to assess their specific needs at this time. Parents would love for her daughter to receive services immediately, but they are told to wait to evaluate public education. Is there a way to solve this problem?

I have an IEP review, I make sure my child gets proper service. In addition, it has difficulty understanding, processing and expression. She gets real excited if I tell you a story, but most of what she says that words are composed. She is 7yrs old and in second class, but way behind.
