I puchased this DVD for her not really knowing what to expect, but found this step by step guide to Brilliant, the simplification followed in each direction.

having had no previous experience at all of our daughter found this DVD very informative and easy to follow, like her father, only to respect the right to 9 of 10 chapters, although “fingerpicking” was introduced.
This DVD is aimed at any particular age group only for beginners, regardless of age. Mr. Chappell, experience and honesty shines through when he repeatedly states, you will not beable to play through the night, that practice has all the things beginners need to hear.
I can not praise this DVD enough, the HSS to be one of the best, if not the best DVD guitar and invaluable support, regardless of what type of guitar you choose to play.
If you are looking for beginners guide to learning to play guitar I can not recommend this too highly. You will not regret buying!. I bought a guitar for Dummies book, I got a guitar. I’m working my way through the book, so thought this DVD would help – I did not go for a coach (yet). It’s not like in-depth as the book (there just is not enough space DVD), but it is very useful to actually see the strumming and finger techniques Chappell application.
DVD progresses at a constant speed, and allows the learner to stop and to achieve competence in one area before moving on and, unlike some private music teachers, who can threaten to hire from the local newspaper, this guy really knows what it does. He can play and learn!
